Donna has been riding horses as long as she can remember. Her grandfather, T.A. Chamblee, was a charter member of the Pulaski County Mounted Patrol and one of her cherished possessions is a photo of her as an infant being held by her grandfather on one of his mounted patrol horses. Today she and her husband Charlie enjoy trail riding and caring for their four American Paint  horses and Zip(blue heeler) and Bear (red heeler) at their home outside Lonoke, Ark.
Dani helped her mom, Phyllis, with the magazine on and off since she purchased it in 2004 and started working full-time for her this year. She graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's in journalism. She worked as a reporter and photographer for the Ashley News Observer, then as the voices page assistant at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette before coming to work for the magazine. She lives in Texarkana, Ark., with her husband John.
Horsemen's Roundup was the perfect project for Phyllis and her husband, George. Phyllis worked at newspapers for 30 years while secretly hoping she would someday be able to get back to the passion of her youth: horseback riding. The magazine has been the perfect way to combine her journalism career with her love of horses. Today she and George live on a small ranch near Mt. Vernon, Ark., and enjoy riding and caring for their horses, which include three American Quarter horses, two American Paint horses, and one bossy old retired Thoroughbred mare.
